About Our Physicians
Ronald A. Burk, MD Dr. Burk was born in Chicago, Illinois, and his medical degree is from Indiana University. Both his internship and residency were performed at the University of South Florida affiliated hospitals. He then served for two years in the U.S. Army before entering private practice. Dr. Burk's subspecialty is facial plastic surgery, and he performs cosmetic surgery including facelift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, scar revisions and other head and neck cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Burk joined Brevard ENT in 1980. Thomas S. Holt, MD Dr. Holt was born in Muncie, Indiana, but spent most of his life in Florida. His medical degree is from the University of South Florida and both his internship and residency were performed at the University of South Florida in Tampa.Dr. Holt's subspecialty is head and neck cancer surgery and thyroid surgery.
Dr Holt joined Brevard ENT in 1996. Hance C. Phillips, MD ![]() Dr. Phillips was born in Tennessee. He earned his Bachelor's degree in 1965 and his MD degree from Northwestern University in 1969. He completed one year of surgical residency at Northwestern University Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois in 1970. He then spent two years as a flight surgeon attached to the U.S. Air Force Eastern Test Range at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. While assigned there he participated in medical support operations for two of the Apollo moon launches and received the Sikorski Helicopter Company "Winged-S" award for "skill and courage while participating as a helicopter crew member in a December 1971 lifesaving rescue mission." Upon completing his Air Force tour of duty in 1972, he spent a second year of general surgery residency and three years of ear, nose and throat and head and neck surgery residency at University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida. He completed his residency and became Board Certified in 1976. He has been in the practice of general ENT in Brevard County since that time. Dr. Phillips has served as Secretary, Vice-President and President of the medical staff at Wuesthoff Memorial Hospital, as well as Chairman of the Credentials Committee for more than ten years. He and the other physicians at Brevard ENT Center serve as Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery Consultants for the Florida Department of Children's Medical Services. Dr. Phillips enjoys fishing during his spare time. Dr. Phillips joined Brevard ENT in 1976. David M. Whitley, MD Dr. Whitley was born in Atlanta, Georgia, but spent most of his life in Alabama, and his medical degree is from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. His internship and residency were completed at the University of South Florida affiliated hospitals. Dr. Whitley's subspecialty is head and neck cancer surgery and thyroid surgery.
Dr. Whitley joined Brevard ENT in 1991. Hobson L. Wilson, MD Dr. Wilson is from Indianapolis, Indiana. His medical degree is from Indiana University and he completed his internship at Grady Memorial in Atlanta and his residency a Tampa General Hospital. He then spent two years in the Navy, attached to the U.S. Marines at Parris Island, South Carolina, after which he started a solo practice in Rockledge. Dr. Wilson recently retired from surgery and sees patients in the office on a limited basis. The rest of his time is fully occupied with boats, fishing and his involvement in the lives of his grandchildren, who are busy with variety of sports and outdoor activities.
Dr. Wilson has been in practice since 1971. |
